Q. What is the purpose of the Campaign?
A. The campaign is focused on student recruitment and success to provide students at Brandon University with the best opportunity to achieve their educational goals and to keep BU competitive and relevant within a highly competitive post-secondary sector.

Q. What is the total fundraising Campaign goal?
A. $22 Million: $10 Million to support Aboriginal Student Success, $7 Million for the Healthy Living Centre, $5 Million for competitive Scholarships and Bursaries.
Q. Does the University have a Strategic Plan and does the Campaign support the identified strategic priorities?
A. Brandon University is in year two of a five-year strategic plan – titled BUILD. Campaign priorities were built around strategic direction and priorities.
Q. When is the Healthy Living Centre expected to open?
A. The new portion of the centre opened its’ doors in early 2013. This includes two full-sized gyms, the walking and jogging track, cardio fitness facility and modern change rooms and washrooms. Construction is still underway to refurbish the historical gym as well as classrooms, multi-purpose community rooms and offices. We look forward to a grand opening of the entire facility in spring 2013.
Q. How will Campaign administration costs be funded?
A. Campaign administrative costs will be funded from the Campaign initiative itself. Brandon University Foundation, as with many other non-profit organizations, is committed to carefully keeping control of the costs of its varied fundraising initiatives. Campaign costs to date are low and will remain at a low cost-per-dollar raised ratio.
Q. How will this Campaign affect the University’s existing programs, including the President’s Circle Appeal?
A. Annual fundraising will continue, separate from the capital campaign. It is anticipated that the BUILD Campaign will afford Brandon University the opportunity to grow support widely for its varied programs through increased profile and presence in the community.
