Our Vision

Brandon University is on a course of expansion and growth. We are designing holistic approaches to student support and niche graduate programs that give students the opportunity to reach new heights in their careers and their communities.

Our expanded graduate and training programs include:

• Graduate program in Psychiatric Nursing introduced in 2011.
• Masters of Science in Environmental and Life Sciences coming in the future.
• Taskforce on the training of primary care physicians to solve the long-standing physician supply shortage in rural Manitoba.

These initiatives will result in a better University, with a higher research profile. Research capacity directly follows from graduate and professional training and will focus significantly on knowledge creation related to the defined needs of rural and northern Manitobans.

To achieve our vision, we must strengthen our physical infrastructure, expand our student recruitment and enhance the programs that support students to achieve success.

That’s the goal of the BUILD campaign — to propel Brandon University into the future and become a university of choice for generations to come.
