Brandon University is a leader in changing the face of Aboriginal education, providing tailored supports to Aboriginal students to ensure their success.

• Aboriginal students make up more than 15 per cent of our student body
• Our Aboriginal Student Support program provides comprehensive tutoring, mentoring, social and cultural support to Aboriginal students
• The Indigenous Peoples’ Centre provides culturally sensitive services to First Nations, Métis and Inuit students, and promotes cross-cultural understanding on campus

Partners in Aboriginal Student Support

A new Peer Mentoring and Tutoring Program will train and develop successful Aboriginal undergrads and graduate students as tutors and mentors. These role models will provide social and academic mentoring to incoming students, preparing them to succeed and mentor the next generation.
