Aboriginal Student Success
Building the future for Aboriginal people and communities
Brandon University is a leader in changing the face of Aboriginal education, providing tailored supports to Aboriginal students to ensure their success.
- Aboriginal students make up more than 15 per cent of our student body
- Our Aboriginal Student Support program provides comprehensive tutoring, mentoring, social and cultural support to Aboriginal students
- The Indigenous Peoples’ Centre provides culturally sensitive services to First Nations, Métis and Inuit students, and promotes cross-cultural understanding on campus
Aboriginal leaders, government and educators agree that the future of Aboriginal people depends on education as the key to economic self-sufficiency. At Brandon University, we’re helping our Aboriginal students define and achieve success.

Build with us
Brandon University is raising $10 million to recruit, retain and support Aboriginal students. We will enrich our leadership in Aboriginal education with a progressive approach to supporting Aboriginal student success.
Your donation will help Aboriginal students succeed in securing their futures. Funds raised will support increased Aboriginal student recruitment and access. This initiative will be complemented by a targeted program to help Aboriginal students achieve their degrees.
Help us build Brandon University and build respect for generations to come!
