Kindermusik

Kindermusik is an early childhood music and movement program based on the beliefs that every child is musical, every parent is the child’s most important teacher, the home is the most important place for learning to take root and grow, and that based on research, music nutures a child’s cognitive, emotional, social, language and physical development.

From birth through seven years of age, your child can grow with Kindermusik wihout pressure to perform, only encouragement to explore, express and discover. You’ll see a developmental evolution in language skills, literacy, listening, problem solving, social skills, self-esteem and musicality!

With every Kindermusik program, your Kindermusik At Home materials include the highest quality music recordings on CD – a diversity of vocal and instrumental arrangements your whole family will enjoy. While materials vary with each program, many include creative activities, children’s literature from the Kindermusik Library, along with specially designed instruments to complement the music and extend your child’s learning into your home.

Registration Information

Registration for September is now open. The Fall semester, my 10^th year teaching, will begin on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 and be completed by January 18, 2012. Our Spring semester will start on February 1, 2012.

There are two venues available for classes in order to offer you more selection:

• School of Music Building (Brandon University, 270 18^th Street, Brandon) – Room 1-43
• Bethel Christian Assembly, 440 Richmond Avenue, Brandon – Room 206

The Kindermusik classes offered in Room 1-43 of the School of Music Building are on Thursday:

1. Imagine That

   See What I Saw – 4:15pm

   • Ages 3 to 4
   • 45 minutes (Caregiver joins child for final 15 minutes)
   • $240.00
   • 15 Weeks
   • * Maximum 10 children per class

2. Our Time

   Wiggles & Giggles – 5:15pm

   • Ages 18 months to 3 years
   • 45 minutes (Caregiver stays with child)
   • $230.00
   • 15 Weeks
   • * Maximum 12 children per class

The Kindermusik classes offered in Room 206 at Bethel Christian Assembly are on Wednesday:

1. Village

   Feathers – 4:15pm – 5:00pm

   • Ages Newborn to 18 months
   • 45 minutes – (Caregiver stays with child)
   • $120.00
   • 8 Weeks
   • * Maximum 12 children per class

2. Young Child 1

   Learning to play Glockenspiel – 5:15 – 6:15pm

   • Ages 5 to 7 years – Pre-Keyboard
   • 60 minutes – (Caregiver joins child for final 15 minutes)
   • $270.00

   • * Maximum 12 children per class
