  1. Print and read the checklist below, and follow the instructions as outlined for submitting the completed application package to the Graduate Studies office.
    (See steps 2 – 6)Application Checklist (PDF)       Note:  As of April 1, 2010, a writing test is required of all students who are applying to our program for the first time.  Please contact Mrs. Ina Schumacher at 204-727-7406 in the Graduate Studies office to confirm the test date.   An interview is required for all Counselling program applicants, following convocation from their Graduate Diploma in Education program, and prior to consideration for admission into the Master of Education program.
  2. Print, complete, sign and date the Graduate Studies application, using the template below:
  3. Submit an application fee of $100 CDN$ via cheque or money order/bank draft, made payable to Brandon University. (Note: fee is non-refundable and required “per” application).
  4. Print two blank letters of reference (using the template below). These are to be completed, signed, dated by referees, and returned in signed/sealed envelopes along with your application package to the Graduate Studies office:
  5. Submit a photocopy of your valid teaching certificate (certified teachers).
  6. Submit an “original” teaching experience letter confirming year(s) of teaching or related experience.  (For example: teachers, please request from your principal or superintendent and ensure that it is submitted on original letterhead)
  7. Mail, courier, or hand deliver the completed application package containing original documents only, to the Faculty of Education-Graduate Studies office prior to the February 15th deadline.

Graduate Application Deadline:

February 15th  (annually)

Applications to the Faculty of Education Graduate Studies program are considered only once per twelve-month period.   For those students admitted in February, they will in turn commence their program as of the following September.

Only “completed” applications packages will be considered at each in-take deadline.
