The Brandon University Students’ Union is bringing in Wab Kinew on September 11, 2012 at the Westman Centennial Auditorium. Wab Kinew talks about issues that Aboriginal people face everyday; stereotypes and racism. He is recognized as a CBC reporter, pop artist, Aboriginal activist and the host of 8th Fire. Wab has appeared on George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight discussing issues such as education, economy, and residential schools. Bringing in Wab Kinew to a small community will help bring education, understanding and celebration of Aboriginal peoples.
Tickets: $5.00 for students and $10.00 for non-students
