<p><strong>Rebecca Belmore</strong> is one of Canada&#8217;s foremost performance and multi-media artists. Often working with her own body as site for unraveling collective history and memory, Belmore&#8217;s work revisits cultural stereotype with insight, pays tribute to those rendered invisible and critiques the power balance of racial difference.</p>
<p>She has exhibited extensively in North America and Europe and represented Canada at the 51st Venice Biennale.</p>
