I was raised in the Midwest of the United States. I am most proud of having been instrumental in developing a resource published by the Canadian Diabetes Association for health professionals working with clients with diabetes in Canada entitled Framework for Diabetes Education for Health Professionals (1997).

Teaching Interests: Are varied and broad.

Research Interests: Focus primarily on diabetes and physical activity among older adults.

I teach Nursing courses ranging from basic skills to medical nursing, to leadership and philosophical perspectives in nursing, as well as courses regarding women and health. I most enjoy teaching the nursing research course.
