For planning purposes, you can anticipate that:

-          The Master of Psychiatric Nursing program will operate over three terms, fall, winter and spring/summer;

-          All core courses in the Master of Psychiatric Nursing program will be delivered annually;

-          Courses in the Clinical Practice stream will be delivered annually;

-          Courses in the Administration stream and Education stream will be delivered in alternate years.

  • Courses in the Leadership and Administration stream will be offered in even years during winter and spring/summer terms (2014, 2016);
  • Courses in the Education stream will be offered in odd years during winter and spring/summer terms (2013, 2015).

The Registration Guide for fall and winter term is usually available online by mid-March. The Registration Guide for spring/summer term is usually available online in mid-February.

Registration in Health Studies courses, including the Master of Psychiatric Nursing program, requires approval by a student advisor. The MPN Program Coordinator serves as the student advisor for graduate students until a thesis advisor is identified.

Registration for new students can take place shortly after intake. Registration for returning students will take place in consultation with the advisor directly following completion of the Annual Progress Report. Registration for spring/summer term will take place in consultation with the advisor in early March.

Course registration takes place online.  A link to online registration is provided on the Brandon University home page.
