To run a virus scan with Kasperksy follow these steps:

• Double-click on the Kaspersky icon
• Click Full Scan on the left side
• Click the Start scan button on the bottom right

Otherwise use:

1. http://www.avast.com
   (the home version is the free, this works well to detect and remove viruses and trojan horses. It is always running. You are required to simply renew the free license key yearly)
2. http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
   (a straightforward program that installs on your computer and help protect you at all times)
3. ESET Online http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/
   (This is simply a website that will scan your computer to remove viruses and problems when you visit it. It has no preventative measures.)
4. http://housecall.antivirus.com
   (This too is simply a website that will scan your computer to remove viruses and problems when you visit it. It has no preventative measures.)
