Ancillary Services

The office and staff of Ancillary Services would like to welcome all new Faculty and Staff to Brandon University.

The Director of Ancillary Services (located on the Main floor of McMaster Hall) heads up the following units:

This office coordinates all Ancillary Services on campus, including: Food Services, Residences, Special Functions and Conference Services, Campus Books, Parking, and ID Cards.

This area operates both the Main Dining Room, and Charley Biggs in the Down Under which are used for the residence students’ board program and the cash operation for students, faculty, staff, and the public. The canteen in the Gymnasium and other cash service areas are open for limited times during the year.

Hours of Operation

The hours of operation of all the food service outlets will change at various times throughout the year to reflect the change in the level of activity on campus. Changes in hours of operation are posted well in advance of their implementation and are also available from the Food Services Office.

The Campus Books bookstore is university owned and operated. It sells textbooks, trade books, supplies, and an AWESOME selection of sports and Bobcat wear.

Parking

Parking has no BU enforcement employees, although the Ancillary Director’s Office provides all clerical support to this unit and deals with parking related issues.

The parking guards are contract employees from OBO Security. Their wages are supplemented by the city to monitor parking and to issue tickets, the revenue from which is collected by the City of Brandon.

Staff and Faculty can purchase Brandon University Identification Cards. Off-campus Meal Cards can also be obtained at no charge. You can put an amount of money on the card and use it as you see fit in the Main Dining Room. You won’t need to carry cash – so whether you are getting lunch or just grabbing a coffee, the Off-campus Meal Card is a practical and economical way to eat.
