Brandon University has installed energy efficient lighting, ventilation, and intelligent building automation systems (BAS) technologies in the new buildings on campus. The University has already saved 20 per cent in electricity and natural gas costs; enough to meet the power needs of nearly 200 houses or 400 apartments in Manitoba annually, and now saves $200,000 a year thanks to the recent energy efficiency initiatives.
