Brandon University Community Outreach Service is accepting proposals for new collaborative projects. Organizations, individuals and faculty members are encouraged to submit a research proposal. Projects are a partnership between the university, community groups and organizations including businesses. Projects can be initiated by students, individuals or organizations and involve the expertise of faculty. The aim is to encourage collaboration within the community and provide opportunity for students to apply their knowledge in a real life setting while addressing specific needs of the community.
For over ten years, many Brandon University students have benefited from such projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience in their area of study. The Brandon University Community Outreach Service helps facilitate six to eight new projects annually (max $3000/Project). Funding assistance is provided by Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives (MAFRI).
The deadline for project proposals is Friday, October 26, 2012, 3pm (CST).
