January Orientation

Student Services would like to welcome you to Brandon University!

To help you get started, we are offering an orientation session for all new students starting classes this January 2013.  Please consider this your invitation to attend Orientation on January 2, 2013 in the R. D. Bell Room, #157, Queen Elizabeth II Music Building, beginning 9:30 a.m.

Finding your classrooms is necessary, but orientation is about knowing how to survive at university.  We will introduce you to a communication network and support system that will provide you with useful information (such as the Library, Student Services, and the Academic Skills Centre).  In addition, we will help you set up your Brandon University email account and photocopy card.  Please feel free to bring your class schedule for personal classroom-finding assistance.

Our Academic Advisors will be available to assist with course selection for those of you who have not yet participated in the mandatory advising program.  Please indicate whether or not you need this service when you register.  These appointments will be conducted throughout the afternoon of January 2.

Finally, you will have lunch on us!  At this time, Student Ambassadors will be available to answer any last minute questions that you may have.

I highly encourage you to attend the Orientation session to help prepare you for the semester ahead.
