Research Interests

Ken Beesley specializes in “Rural Social Geography” in both teaching and research activities. Current research initiatives focus on:

1. The horse industry in Canada
2. Tourism and rural development
3. Adolescent health models in small town environments in Nova Scotia
4. Rural sustainability issues
