Student for a Day

Experience student life at BU!

The “Student for a Day” program goes further than a campus tour by providing students currently in Grade 12, or those who are no longer in high school, with the opportunity to observe the Brandon University campus first-hand. The Student for a Day experience includes attending a first year class, lunch in the dining hall and a campus tour. There is no cost for Student for a Day!

You may also further customize your day by arranging with the Recruitment Office the following extra activities during your campus visit. When you register for Student for a Day you must notify us at that time if you want to do any or all of the following activities:

• stay overnight in residence (at a cost, see below)
• receive academic advising
• attend a sporting event (if available)

Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible!  Please choose the date you wish to visit when you complete the online registration form.

Staying Overnight in Residence

Bring your pajamas and stay overnight!  This option is available to grade 12 students.  For $20 per person, you can stay overnight in a residence room, have dinner and breakfast, and participate in a residence life activity (if available).  Students must sign a waiver form to participate in this experience (signed by a parent if under 18 years of age).

Please Note:

Student for a Day is not available on a walk-in basis or on any other day than what is scheduled. Please visit Campus Tours if you would prefer a basic campus tour. If you are planning a last minute visit, please see Self-Guided Tour (not for group tours).

Registrations close one week in advance of Student-For-A-Day dates.
