TREK BU: Trans Canada Trail

This option is only available for students who are unable to come to campus during The Journey Begins  or Base Camp and is a phone-in appointment.  Prior to the phone meeting you will be required to follow the instructions below, which will provide you with basic information about your degree as well as how to prepare for your phone meeting.

Please note if you are in the Bachelor of Business Administration degree, do not register for Trans Canada Trail.  You must contact David Taylor at 204-727-7326 or email taylord@brandonu.ca to book an appointment.

To prepare for TREK BU: Trans Canada Trail, please open and print the TREK BU manual.  This will allow you to make notes in the manual and follow along with the information in the presentation.  If your advisor determines that you are not prepared for your advising session you will be requested to book another appointment.

After you have printed the manual, open and play the PowerPoint presentation.  You will need to have your speakers turned on in order to hear the presentation.

After you have watched the presentation and reviewed the manual, take a moment to look through the Brandon University calendar for courses or departments that interest you and write these down on the brain storming sheet, which is included in the manual.  You may also want to look through the 2012-2013 Registration Guide for the courses that are being offered in the academic year.  This preparation will help when you call to speak with your academic advisor.
