Learn to take charge of your schedule and make the best use of your study time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use your course outlines or syllabi\n<ul>\n<li>For each course, add tests, assignments, and weekly tasks (e.g., problem sets or readings) to a semester calendar with BU important dates for the term<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Know where you are spending your time\n<ul>\n<li>Use a weekly time log or an interactive time log to estimate your time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Plan out your priorities. What needs to be accomplished today, this week, this month?\n<ul>\n<li>Identify goals for each course. Explore these suggestions for setting smart goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Break tasks into manageable chunks: <strong>divide and conquer<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Set reasonable time limits to improve focus and concentration. Use <strong>distributed practice<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Make a term and weekly schedule for the term.\n<ul>\n<li>Put the most demanding tasks in your most productive time<\/li>\n<li>Be generous when estimating the time needed for tasks<\/li>\n<li>Leave open spaces or \u2018down time\u2019 every day for the unexpected\n<ul>\n<li>Don\u2019t write in everything! Too much detail can become a form of procrastination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Explore evaluating your time troubles for suggestions for studying with family and work responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Choose study spaces that match the task demands. On campus spaces include:\n<ul>\n<li>John E.
