Answers to many questions you may have about BU CARES.
Indigenous and rural students are unique, and deserve education that furthers their well-being. BU CARES Research Centre is an applied research institution of the Faculty of Education at Brandon University. Founded in 2008, its role is to promote and facilitate research activities that are of interest to rural, northern, and Indigenous communities, school divisions, and related organizations. The Centre offers research support, including arts-based research, as well as networking opportunities for researchers actively involved in Indigenous and rural education research.
We help identify and answer research questions generated collaboratively with community research partners, develop faculty and graduate student research capacity, facilitate connections between university researchers and community members, and promote research related to rural and Indigenous education.
