Then, with additional engagement and consultation, the Concept\u00a0Plan and Plan Frameworks were developed based on the guidance of these Vision and Planning Principles. In addition, a series of design themes emerged\u00a0through the engagement process that influenced the Plan. These themes are a\u00a0response to the direction provided by the Vision and Principles.<\/p>\n<p>The Vision and Principles are an important tool, as they are intended to\u00a0provide guidance throughout the evolution of the Plan. As such, they should be\u00a0reviewed and updated at regular intervals throughout the Plan\u2019s implementation\u00a0process.<\/p>\n<div class=\"new-column-box  1-DENOM count-1\">\n<h2>Master Plan Vision<\/h2>\n<p>The Vision will help to inspire and guide decision-making as BU looks ahead to\u00a0the future of its Campus.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The Brandon University campuses will be student-centered\u00a0and experiential-learning environments that facilitate\u00a0innovation, teaching and learning, research, recreation,\u00a0and socialization within a unique University District. It will\u00a0maintain the \u201csmall-town\u201d feel as a welcoming, accessible,\u00a0and community-oriented place, where diversity and culture\u00a0is embraced and celebrated. It will be a high-quality\u00a0environment in Brandon with state-of-the-art facilities,\u00a0spaces, and services that create an inspiring place, new\u00a0opportunities for learning, and for community partnerships\u00a0and initiatives. Brandon University will be central to the\u00a0community and city, adding value to the quality of life for\u00a0community members and partners.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- .new-column-box -->\n<div class=\"flex-row \" data-column-group=\"1\">\n<div class=\"new-column-box  half count-1\">\n<h2>Principles<\/h2>\n<p>Nine Planning Principles were developed to provide a foundation for design work, policies,\u00a0and related recommendations in the Campus Master Plan, and to guide the\u00a0development of the Concept Plan and Plan Frameworks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/campusplan\/the-plan\/planning-principles\/\" class=\"btn\">Planning Principles<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><!-- .new-column-box -->\n<div class=\"new-column-box  half count-2\">\n<h2>Concept Plan<\/h2>\n<p>The Concept Plan is a comprehensive illustration of the Campus Master Plan Frameworks and supportive policies and is to be used as a guide for future campus development. The Plan reflects a compact, walkable, pedestrian-oriented and accessible campus.
