Schedule 11: The Campus Quad<\/p><\/div>\n

The Campus Quad is one of the primary open spaces within\u00a0the Framework, due to its function as a central gathering\u00a0space and student hub in the heart of the Campus. The\u00a0space is an open green framed by Clark Hall, and by two\u00a0of the key student destinations, the George T. Richardson\u00a0Centre (the library), and the Knowles-Douglas Student\u00a0Union Centre. The quad is intended to provide a high level\u00a0of flexibility in terms of use and activity, accommodating\u00a0a wide range of both active and passive recreation. It is\u00a0also intended to function as the ceremonial space for the\u00a0Campus, as the place to convocate, hold large gatherings,\u00a0and host University and community events. When there is\u00a0nothing programmed for the Quad, it functions as a place to\u00a0sit and enjoy the outdoors in the summer, locate temporary\u00a0art displays, and throw a frisbee. It is also the place to iceskate,\u00a0throw snowballs, or build a temporary warming hut\u00a0in the winter.<\/p>\n
