In the Campus\u00a0Master Plan, the field is envisioned as a community\u00a0magnet and destination. It is the opportunity to engage and\u00a0draw in the community, other institutions, and the wider\u00a0city. This open space should function like all other open\u00a0spaces within the Framework, as an accessible, inviting,\u00a0and flexible space. Its primary function is to accommodate\u00a0the University\u2019s varsity sports, as well as support a variety\u00a0of recreational activities for the University, surrounding\u00a0schools, and the community in general.<\/p>\n<h3>Policies:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhance the field to standard field dimensions to\u00a0accommodate Canadian football and soccer.<\/li>\n<li>Enhance and frame the edges of the field with a row\u00a0of canopied trees to define and beautify the space\u00a0and create a more defined and attractive face to\u00a0street.
