The\u00a0segment of Lorne Avenue that falls within the Campus\u00a0boundaries should be designed as a continuation of the\u00a0existing street.<\/p>\n<h3>Elements of the Lorne Avenue Right-of-Way<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>20.0m R.O.W.<\/li>\n<li>11.4m roadway, which includes one 3.5m travel lane\u00a0in either direction to accommodate shared vehicular,\u00a0and cycling circulation, and a 2.2m on-street parking\u00a0lane (including curb and gutter).<\/li>\n<li>2.3m planting and furnishing zone on either side of\u00a0the street with street trees and shrub landscaping\u00a0in at-grade planting beds, and street furnishing\u00a0such as benches, pedestrian scale lighting, garbage\u00a0receptacles, and signage.<\/li>\n<li>2.0m sidewalk on either side of the street.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Service Access Routes<\/h2>\n<p>There are several service access routes identified in\u00a0the Movement Framework. These are essential for the\u00a0purpose of building maintenance and servicing, to access\u00a0parking, and for drop-off and delivery of goods for the\u00a0University.<\/p>\n<h3>Policies:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The service access routes must be designed as part\u00a0of the public realm space and should reflect the same\u00a0quality and materiality used for all other pedestrian\u00a0pathways and linkages through the Campus.<\/li>\n<li>The materials used for the access routes must be able\u00a0to withstand the weight and regular use of service\u00a0vehicles.<\/li>\n<li>The use of service access routes must be time and\u00a0day controlled with clear and visible signage that\u00a0reflects the regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lorne Avenue Residential Street The extension of Lorne Avenue provides the means of\u00a0bringing the community directly into the Campus.
