However, there is room\u00a0for improvement in Brandon University\u2019s internal transit\u00a0route network, that would bring students closer to the\u00a0heart of the Campus. This new route can be serviced by the City\u00a0as an extension of a public transit route. It can also be\u00a0provided as a Brandon University shuttle service, which\u00a0connects to other Brandon University properties such\u00a0as the Downtown Campus, as well as other institutions\u00a0such as Assiniboine College. Incentives for transit should\u00a0continue to be applied for a time until transit rider-ship\u00a0becomes a primary mode of transportation to and from\u00a0the Campus.<\/p>\n<h3>Policies:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Locate a transit stop on both Louise Avenue and 20th\u00a0Street. Provide stops on both sides of the street to\u00a0service drop-off and pick-up in both directions.<\/li>\n<li>Transit stops can be free standing and incorporated\u00a0in the streetscape design. If so, they should be heated\u00a0sheltered stops with seating and timing of service\u00a0information provided within.<\/li>\n<li>Transit stops can also be integrated at-grade in the\u00a0buildings fronting the street as part of the front\u00a0lobby space, or internal public realm space.
