These may range from partnerships with private\u00a0businesses to provide support type services for the\u00a0University (food service, retail operations, housing),\u00a0to partnerships to develop land and new buildings\u00a0(comprising potential market-oriented uses).<\/p>\n<p>For the purposes of developing its lands, the University\u00a0should consider different development strategies\u00a0including administering development programs\u00a0through an arms-length development trust that is\u00a0accountable to the Board of Governors. The full range of\u00a0development strategies should be closely investigated\u00a0and considered with advice from qualified professionals.\u00a0Any development of land will be subject to the Vision,\u00a0Principles, and policies of this Plan.<\/p>\n<p>For any development partnerships the University\u00a0considers, highest and best use studies, detailed land\u00a0use plan, market feasibility analysis, and architectural\u00a0guidelines should be created to guide development.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/campusplan\/implementation\/supporting-studies\/\">future studies\u00a0should be considered<\/a> to further support and inform any\u00a0partnerships and\/or development opportunities.<\/p>\n<h2>School Division<\/h2>\n<p>The Campus Master Plan provides opportunities for\u00a0increased synergies with the School Division. New open\u00a0spaces and buildings provide opportunities for communal\u00a0programs and events including sports, graduation,\u00a0Indigenous education, summer programs, and integrated\u00a0learning. Summer programming for students on the Campus\u00a0enables the animation of the Campus throughout the year.<\/p>\n<h2>Post-Secondary Institutions<\/h2>\n<p>Similar to the School Division, the Campus Master Plan as well as the Brandon Downtown Plan provides opportunities to increase and diversify student services and amenities as well as academic offerings for other post-secondary institutions such as Assiniboine College. The Downtown Campus provides the opportunity for graduate and professional studies and also the opportunity to create a significant central student hub and destination for 24\/7 activity and socialization.
