It was approved by the Brandon University Board of Governors in June 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Download the complete PDF:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/campusplan\/files\/Brandon-University-Campus-Master-Plan.pdf\">Brandon University Campus Master Plan<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/aside><p>Brandon University\u2019s Campus Master Plan lays out a long-term Vision for the\u00a0physical growth and enhancement of Brandon University\u2019s main 18th Street campus, while providing high-level direction for the planning of the\u00a0University\u2019s other campus locations. The Plan\u00a0represents the collaboration and consensus of multiple and diverse stakeholder\u00a0groups, including staff, students, faculty, and alumni, as well as a broad\u00a0spectrum of external stakeholders including City of Brandon staff, the Mayor,\u00a0City Council, the School Board, Assiniboine College, Indigenous Community\u00a0members, neighbours, and community leaders.<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of the project, and particularly through the engagement\u00a0process, a clear Vision, Guiding Principles, Design Frameworks, an\u00a0Implementation and Phasing Strategy, and a Campus Space Plan were\u00a0established to direct the future of the University\u2019s lands over a 20-30\u00a0year development horizon. The Plan envisions the Campus evolving into a\u00a0community-oriented University District that is vibrant throughout the day\u00a0and at all times of the year. The Plan offers a diversity of amenities, services,\u00a0and experiences for both the Campus and neighbouring community, with new\u00a0academic and mixed-use buildings, vibrant and functional open spaces, with an\u00a0emphasis on pedestrian-oriented streets and pathways.<\/p>\n<h3>The Brandon University Campus Master Plan<\/h3>\n<p>The Campus Master Plan is not a blueprint for development; rather, it provides a\u00a0structure and guiding framework for the future development of built form, open\u00a0spaces, and movement networks on the Campus and ingrains sustainability,\u00a0resilience, and the indigenization of the Campus as core threads throughout.<\/p>\n<p>The Plan represents the full physical build-out potential for the Campus and\u00a0makes recommendations for the space planning needs of BU\u2019s space at the\u00a0University of Winnipeg.
