Duties:

Reporting to the Director of Library Services, the Administrative Coordinator provides daily administrative support to the Director and is responsible for assisting with the management and supervision of staff, space and resources in Library Services. The key objectives for this position are oversight of physical space, financial monitoring and reporting, staff on-boarding and training, and creating an organizational culture that is conducive to excellent customer service and overall student success. Duties include human resource management and supervision, financial reporting and analysis, daily operational management of the physical space, business process definition and analysis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Business Administration; An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience will be considered
  • Several years of related work experience in office management and/or administrative operations
  • Experience in the preparation, forecasting and monitoring of budget expenditures
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and lead projects through to completion
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Proven ability to analyze and streamline processes
  • Effective conflict resolution, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Assets:

  • Familiar with College systems, including HUB, WebAdvisor, Maestro, Financial Services, and RRC Reporting
  • Experience with Change Management
  • Project Management skills
