The Faculty of Education at Western University invites applications for a full-time probationary (tenure track) faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Counselling Psychology, with responsibilities for teaching in the Counselling Psychology MA and Bachelor of Education programs.

The preferred starting date for this position is January 1, 2021, but is negotiable. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Main Responsibilities:

• Teach in the Counselling Psychology program;
• Supervise graduate student research;
• May teach in areas of expertise to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education program;
• Maintain a strong research and publication program, and obtain external funding;
• Participate in community service within and beyond the Faculty of Education.

Required Qualifications:

• An earned doctorate in psychology;
• Registration or appropriate qualifications to register as a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario for the autonomous practice of counselling psychology in the Province of Ontario;
• Evidence of an active research program related to counselling psychology.
