Camp Coordinator 

Rock Lake United Church Camp

Rock Lake United Church Camp Inc. is a summer camp affiliated with the United Church of Canada providing camping experiences for children aged 4-15 years old. The camp is located on the north shore of Rock Lake, approximately 150 km. southwest of Winnipeg. Our goal is to provide youth with a fun-filled camping experience in a beautiful outdoor setting. Some of the camp activities include kayaking, archery, canoeing, hiking, nature science, dramas and skits, dances and campfires.

Dates of Employment:

April 3 - August 26, 2023

Salary:

April 3 - June 4, 2023 - Part Time 5 hours/week $100/week

June 5 - August 26, 2023 - Full Time $800/week (includes room and board)

Requirements:

• be a minimum of 21 years of age, mature and responsible, 
• able to take initiative
• possess strong leadership and organizational skills
• ability to work under minimal supervision
• awareness of and compliance with Manitoba Camping Association and United Church of Canada Camping guidelines
• basic First Aid and CPR training
• Class 5 license and access to a vehicle

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• promoting the camp and managing electronic communications and social media for the weeks prior to camp and continuing over the summer
• managing staff and volunteers
• recruiting volunteer counsellors and campers
• overseeing all camp operations
• serve as a positive representative for RLUCC
