The Manitoba Metis Federation (MMF) is the official democratic and self-governing representative for the Metis Nation’s Manitoba Metis Community. The Manitoba Metis are Canada’s Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.

The MMF seeks to fill one full-time Clinical Services Coordinator position within our Health and Wellness Department located at 150 Henry Ave in Winnipeg, MB. Reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness, the Clinical Services Coordinator plans, implements, coordinates, and oversees the clinical program development for the Health and Wellness Department.

Job Duties/Competencies:

  • Perform assessments on the clinical service needs and available services for the Metis population;
  • Develop and facilitate clinical services for the Metis population based on needs assessments;
  • Plan and organize community clinics for Covid-19 vaccination, chronic illness, foot care, etc.;
  • Identify various grants and other funding opportunities and submit applications;
  • Administer, coordinate and direct the operations of the program in a cost efficient and effective manner;
  • Coordinate the writing, budget development, review, formatting, and all other aspects of generating proposals for the development of clinical services;
  • Develop and provide education and training on the requirements and procedures related to the conduct of clinical services.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health science, business administration, social science, or another related field;
  • Experience as a Program Coordinator or relevant position;
  • One year experience in the clinical health field;
  • Knowledge of clinical services and guidelines;
  • Experience in preparing funding proposals for social service projects and programs;
  • Knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping, and reporting;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;
  • Experience working with boards and/or committees is preferred;
  • Experience working for a not-for-profit organization and Indigenous community is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Metis culture, MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
  • Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
