Director of Human Resources

Corporate Services Division

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Under the general direction of the General Manager of Corporate Services, the Director of Human Resources facilitates the operations of the department and ensures the seamless delivery of human resource services to the City of Brandon.

MANDATORY EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma;
- Post-secondary degree or certificate in Human Resources Management (preferred);
- Demonstrated continuous learning in fields of management and leadership
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in management and progressive leadership

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in managing for efficiency and effectiveness to bring about change in a municipal and
unionized environment
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset
- Experience in labour relations interpretation and administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements

Rate of Pay:
$126,067.93 - $136,019.83 – 2024 Annual Rates
