Position Description: Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Curriculum and Assessment, the Remote Learning Teacher will provide instruction and assessment of various grade cohorts remotely via Microsoft Teams.

FTE/HRS & Assignment: 1.0 FTE, Limited Teacher General

  • Grade 7 Homeroom
  • Core Subjects

Term Dates: November 23, 2020 - December 17, 2021

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain a Manitoba Teaching Certificate
  • Ability to speak, write, teach and read French
  • Experience and comfort using Microsoft Office Programs such as Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of effective instructional strategies in order to meet the diverse needs of all students
  • Knowledge of best practices in the curriculum, instruction and assessment with an emphasis on remote and distance learning pedagogy
  • Ability to lead and instruct students of all ages
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, students, parents and outside agencies, as demonstrated through written and verbal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Indigenous Perspectives
