Description

As a Geomatics Analyst, you will be utilizing Geomatics technology and skillsets to support Imperial’s heavy oil production, working directly with the various departments from Upstream, Midstream, Downstream and Corporate.

Example of job responsibilities: Mapping, data conversion, data digitization/editing, geo-referencing, data mining, spatial geoprocessing, and spatial analysis

Some of the typical deliverables include:

  • Pre-Disturbance Assessment
  • Regulatory Application (Reg Apps) and Supplement Information Requests (SIRs)
  • Pipeline and Well Abandonment and Licensing
  • Environment Sensitivity Assessment
  • First Nation Consultations
  • Public Notification Maps
  • Temporary Field Authorization (TFA) Map

Academic Qualifications:

  • Candidate graduated or currently enrolled in Geomatics Engineering Bachelor or Master Degree
  • University student available for a work term beginning in May 2020
  • Your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application

Other Qualifications:

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented and dedicated to generating high quality work products
  • Strong computer skills including practical knowledge of Esri ArcGIS Suite, and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments in parallel
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Work term: 4 months
