The Global Citizenship Coordinator plays an essential role in helping Assiniboine International support our students and organizational initiatives.

Be Passionate

You are passionate about creating opportunities to build community and a sense of global citizenship amongst all students, international and domestic. You believe in international cultural awareness and have exciting ideas for social integration of international and domestic students.

Take Initiative

By collaborating with stakeholders and building on your experience in event planning and project management such as global immersions, you will support intercultural programming by designing events and initiatives that appeal to a diverse group of students. You will coordinate and develop training opportunities for the college community and act as a resource to faculty and staff on cross cultural issues. Your exceptional written and verbal communication skills will shine through your management of social media and other communication. You will connect with students to assist with their transition to Canada and their orientation to the college community.

Deliver Results

To deliver results, you will have a relevant post-secondary credential and related experience in a cross-cultural educational setting in the design, planning and delivery of support services and workshops for students & staff. Experience using social media strategically would be an asset.

This position may require occasional international travel. The successful candidate must hold a valid passport and be able to acquire a visa into countries where the college fosters relationships. You will also need a satisfactory criminal record that would not preclude you from required travel. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
