Pay and Benefits:

• $78,000-124,000 depending on experience

Must Haves:

• 5 years of progressive HR experience
• CPHR a strong asset, however HR Management or certificate with combined years a must
• Union experience a strong asset
• Benefits and compensation a strong asset
• Strong Microsoft, ADP and HRMIS

Job Requirements:

• Manages all HR activities including staffing, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and training.
• Responsible for implementation of Human Resources policies and programs at site.
• Ensures site’s compliance with regulations affecting labor practices.
• Leads HR related training across site to enhance skill levels of the workforce, thereby contributing to the organization’s overall effectiveness.
• Maintains sites compensation systems and processes that attract, retain, and motivate employees.
• Collaborates with Head Office to ensure local compensation needs are met.
• Provides leadership in employee relations area, promoting open communications and a positive work environment.
• Works with employees and managers to ensure understanding of roles and responsibilities, effective performance appraisals, and career development.
• Ensures that policies and processes are fairly and uniformly applied.
• Involvement with all aspects of labour relations, collective agreement administration in coordinating and communicating information flow.
• Manages Benefits provider website and pension administration with pension administrator.
• Effectively administer and practice Employee Performance Program by coaching and developing workforce which includes departments and employees.
