Job Title: Indigenous Outreach Workshop Facilitator

Department: Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Science

Wage or Salary: $ 12.98 per hour

Hours of Work: 300 in total (maximum 15 per week) per student

Start Date: September 1, 2019

Number of Positions available: 2

Length of Appointment: to August 31, 2020


Help develop course materials for workshops, travel and host workshops, garner feedback post-workshop and analyze, create posters and presentations, help develop plan for future activities based on workshop feedback; other related duties as assigned.


  • Currently enrolled in a University degree and possessing good communication skills
  • Knowledge of Indigenous communities in the Westman area
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work with very little supervision
  • Punctual
  • Experience with MS Office or Poster/Pamphlet creating software (Photoshop/Spark) is a definite asset
