Duties:

Red River College, Portage Campus requires an instructor for teaching, supervision and guidance of students in virtual, in person classroom and practicum settings. This will include: preparing course outlines, maintaining student records, student evaluations, development and adherence to the delivery schedule within an allocated time, attendance at scheduled meetings, ensuring curriculum content is consistent with parent program, and student assignments reflect industry needs. Courses to be filled may include but are not limited to Financial Accounting, Payroll and Benefits, QuickBooks, Technical Writing, Event planning and Customer Service.

Required Qualifications:

• Professional accounting designation (CPA). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Significant and progressive experience in accounting
• Extensive knowledge and experience with accounting software packages
• In-depth experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exemplary written communication skills
• Exemplary oral communication skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Experience interacting with a group utilizing an on-line conferencing medium, preference will be given to candidates that have experience with conducting learning on-line

Assets:

• Graduate degree
• Experience instructing at a post-secondary institution
• Experienced with online course development /delivery and alternative teaching methodology
• Certificate in Adult Education
• Experience with presenting material in an on-line or alternate channel platform

• This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
