  • Become part of the team at one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers;
  • Track the execution of various contracts and agreements;
  • Ensure that all deliverables arrive according to short form licence agreement; follow up when deliverables are overdue;
  • Keep program stakeholders up to date on any important events related to the contract (i.e.: title change, windows, rights expirations);
  • Enter rights and payment terms for programs into Avatega system for Original and Acquisition for linear broadcast and non-linear broadcast;
  • Ensure legal contractual compliance (contract, copyright laws and terms of trade);
  • Assist in assessing APTN programming needs;
  • Conduct research, compile and prepare reports and contribute to efficiency with respect to processes and procedures.

Your accomplishments and experience include:

  • A diploma in a relevant discipline and 2 - 5 years related experience (ie: legal/business affairs in a broadcast or entertainment related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Experience inputting complex data into various types of databases with a high degree of accuracy;
  • Proficiency with Internet, E-mail and other business related computer software is required;
  • Broadcasting knowledge is an asset;
  • Experience with an Indigenous organization and culture is an asset.
