Salary: $12.98 per hour

Hours of work: up to 10 hours per week

Start date: Sept. 21, 2020

Length of appointment: Sept 21, 2020 to April 30, 2021

Duties:

Assist the Recruitment & Retention team in delivery of recruitment and student engagement initiatives:

  • Deliver campus tours and the Student For A Day program
  • Assist with on and off-campus recruitment initiatives, as needed, such as career fairs
  • Maintain presence on BU Student Life social media
  • Create posters and advertising to promote Recruitment & Retention events and programming
  • Support Student Leader recruitment and data entry
  • Administrative duties, such as data entry, mail outs, assembling recruitment packages, and tour reminders
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Enrolled at Brandon University with a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher at time of application
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated critical and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team
  • Knowledge of campus and community resources
  • Respect for and enthusiasm about serving a diverse population
  • Excellent computer skills (word processing, email, database management, spreadsheets)
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain social media presence
  • Returning to studies at Brandon University in September 2020
