· Cover daily breaking news; meeting and developing new contacts as you travel nearby and to remote communities;

· Join a team that provides coverage of the issues facing Indigenous communities locally, nationally and worldwide;

· Craft high quality stories while having creative control;

· Ability to appear on camera as needed;

· Use your strong communication skills while interacting with the public and remote colleagues.

Your accomplishments and experience include:

· A degree/diploma in journalism or related field with proven experience related to journalism;

· Ability to work under pressure when a story is breaking;

· Basic understanding of social media;

· Curiosity to get to the bottom of issues affecting communities across the province;

· Possess solid judgment, research techniques and the ability to be flexible;

· A strong ability to articulate and effectively communicate issues relevant to Indigenous communities;

· Strong computer skills and knowledge of broadcast technology;

· A valid driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract.
