West-Can HR Solutions is currently recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst for a large company in Brandon, MB.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing month-end close entries
• Provide financial and business analysis support and advice to the business
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
• Work collaboratively across the business to identify and understand strategic business requirements and priorities
• Process month-end close entries and processes to accurately reflect revenues and costs
• Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly reports and annual business plan
• Prepare specific analysis and explanations versus yearly plan such as material/usage analysis, net price variance
• Assist in preparation of quarterly presentation to Leadership Team
• Prepare analysis of outlook for key business drivers and initiatives
• Assist in the process of developing the annual plan and prepare associated analysis

Minimum Position Qualifications/Requirements:

• 5+ years of management accounting experience, variance analysis, and participation in the budget process.
• University degree in accounting or finance; MBA is an asset.
• Accounting Designation required, or working towards designation
• Proficiency in MS Excel
