REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid MB Education & Training School Clinician Certificate, or eligible to obtain
- Registered with the Manitoba College of Social Workers
- Ability to provide intervention, treatment services and resources to students
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated ability to consult and collaborate with school teams and outside agencies in order to coordinate efforts on behalf of students
- Experience in crisis intervention and case management
- Experience in a school setting
- Demonstrated ability to provide ongoing support to students, families and schools after referral
- Knowledge and skills in assessment, counselling and learning interventions
- Demonstrated ability in providing documentation, follow-up and in-servicing
- Ability and willingness to adhere to professional standards of practice and code of ethics
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and perspectives
- Effective communication demonstrated through written/verbal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
