Technician Assistant

Seasonal (4 month) Student Job Opportunity

Office located in Baldur, MB.

**Subject to availability of Funding

Term: May – August 2020 – 16 weeks

**Must meet requirements as specified under the federal ‘Canada Summer Jobs’ or ‘Hometown Green Team’ Programs.

WorkDuties:

• Assist with CD programs such as well capping and shock chlorinating wells
• Transport equipment and assist landowners with Shelterbelt Planting
• Collection of water samples
• Conduct site inspections for program eligibility
• Willing to work with a minimum of supervision or as a team
• Capable of carrying heavy loads, up to 50 lbs. (Bentonite or sand)
• GIS/Microsoft Office computer skills an asset
• Land surveying an asset (transit/laser/total station)
• Planning and organizational skills
• Experience with Conservation or farm work
• Must possess a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License
• Evening and weekend work possible
