We are accepting applications for:

Trades Worker Level 2 – Small Engine Mechanic

Operational Services - Parks

As part of the Parks team, the incumbent is responsible for a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. This program includes the repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment, and placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12, G.E.D., C.A.E.C., or Mature High School Diploma.
  • Required to hold and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 with Air Drivers License (Or obtain within one (1) year of appointment).
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in machinery operation.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mechanical field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Post-Secondary course work in the area of small engine repair.

Rate of Pay: $25.38 to $26.99 per hour. (2023 Rate)

Position Conditions: This is a full-time, permanent position of 40 hours per week.
