Congratulations! Convocation is the ceremony during which your degree will be bestowed and is the culmination of your undergraduate and graduate education at Brandon University. It is a special and dignified occasion that marks the formal recognition of your hard work and accomplishment. Be proud!<\/p>\n

Every year, we select an artist and commission a unique work to present to every grad. The call for 2026 artwork has now closed. Later in the fall, the call for 2027 artwork will open.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n See previous artwork<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Remember – before you can attend Convocation you first need to apply to graduate! To graduate in October, February, or May\/June, you must apply online to graduate<\/strong> before the published deadline<\/a>. <\/strong>May graduands and graduates from the previous October and February are automatically invited to participate in Convocation ceremony.<\/p>\n Formal graduation is conditional upon all grades being available and all outstanding fees being paid. If you owe ANY<\/strong> monies to Brandon University you will not receive your degree parchments or transcripts until your account is paid in full.<\/p>\n If you have any questions please contact the Registrar’s Office at registrar@brandonu.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n Apply to Graduate<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n The Spring 2026 Convocation schedule is as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n Graduates do not need to confirm attendance or RSVP to attend Convocation.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Detailed information for graduates<\/a><\/p>\n The official cap, tassel and gown (regalia) that you wear to cross the Convocation stage is part of a long and honourable academic tradition. The colour of the hood reflects the degree you have earned, the position of the tassel is moved at the moment your degree is conferred, and the tassel will be a permanent keepsake and memento of your year of graduation.<\/p>\n As academic attire is mandatory, we recommend you pre-order your regalia through the Gaspard website Build-A-Grad<\/a>, which provides academic gown rentals. The website is now open for the May 2026 Convocation ceremonies. We cannot guarantee you regalia unless you have pre-ordered yours prior to the Convocation ceremonies. Deadline to pre-order online will be May 13, 2026.<\/p>\n Order regalia<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Brandon University has contracted a professional photographer to take photographs of each graduand on stage receiving their degree.<\/p>\n For those that attended the May 2025 Convocation ceremonies, your pictures are now available to be viewed and ordered from Imperial Photo by clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The BU Bookstore<\/a> has lots of gift ideas and clothing for graduating students and families, including cute stuffed grad animals. They are open 9 a.m. \u2013 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday and offer online shopping as well. They will also offer a variety of items to purchase at Convocation.<\/p>\n Order now<\/a><\/p>\n Convocation Flowers offers a wide selection of floral arrangements and other gift items to recognize graduates on their special day, and will be onsite at Convocation. They also offer a pre-order online service.
