It&#8217;s almost time to walk across the stage and receive your degree \u2014 the formal moment that recognizes your academic accomplishments.<\/p>\n<p>To make Convocation the best it can be, here is important information you need to know.<\/p>\n<p>You do not need confirm attendance or RSVP to attend your Convocation ceremony.<\/p>\n<h2>2026 Convocation schedule:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday, May 28th, 10:00 a.m. \u2014 Faculty of Science and School of Music (includes Music\/Education concurrent)<\/li>\n<li>Thursday, May 28th, 2:00 p.m. \u2014 Faculty of Education (includes Physical Education and Arts\/Education integrated)<\/li>\n<li>Friday, May 29th, 10:00 a.m. \u2014 Faculty of Health Studies<\/li>\n<li>Friday, May 29th, 2:00 p.m. \u2014 Faculty of Arts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You should arrive at the HLC one hour before your ceremony time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Rehearsal<\/h2>\n<p>If at all possible, attend the Convocation Rehearsal:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong> Wednesday, May 27, 2026<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong> 1:00 &#8211; 2:00 PM<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Henry Champ Gymnasium<\/p>\n<h2>Graduation Attire<\/h2>\n<p>Regalia for graduation includes a blue gown, cap with tassel and and an academic hood for your degree. Academic regalia is <strong>required<\/strong> for those graduands attending the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>It is recommended you pre-order your regalia, as availability cannot be guaranteed for rental onsite on the day of your ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>The website is now open for the May 2026 Convocation ceremonies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buildagrad.ca\" class=\"btn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Order regalia<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- To receive your academic attire, you must pre-order your attire online. Please check back soon. --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pre-order Deadline:<\/strong> Wednesday, May 13, 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pick up time:<\/strong> One (1) hour prior to the ceremony, Henry Champ Gymnasium<\/li>\n<li><strong>Return time:<\/strong> One (1) hour after the ceremony, Henry Champ Gymnasium<\/li>\n<li><strong>Online Pre-Order Cost:<\/strong> $45.00 &amp; tax (subject to change)<\/li>\n<li><strong>On Site Cost:<\/strong>\u00a0 $60.00 &amp; tax (subject to change)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Attire Instructions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cap\/Tassel<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>worn flat on head (not tilted back on head)<\/li>\n<li>may be pinned to hair<\/li>\n<li>tassel to be positioned over right eye (will be moved to the left upon instruction at the ceremony)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gown<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>zipper up the front<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hoods<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cV\u201d at front, pinned at bottom of \u201cV\u201d and at each shoulder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Please note:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Hair pins and straight pins will be provided.<\/li>\n<li>Flowers may not be carried across the stage. Corsages may be worn.<\/li>\n<li>Provisions for cameras, purses or other personal belongings are not available.<\/li>\n<li>Students will keep their caps, tassels and charms as keepsakes.<\/li>\n<li>Many grads choose to decorate their cap, for example with beading, and you are welcome to personalize it in tasteful and celebratory fashion. Inappropriate caps will not be permitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<h2>Convocation Guests<\/h2>\n<p>We are not imposing a formal limit on the number of guests that graduates can bring to the Convocation ceremonies.<\/p>\n<p>Guests who are unable to be in Brandon or on campus for the ceremonies will be able to view Convocation via livestream on Facebook and YouTube. Links to the livestream feeds will be available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/convocation\/\">Convocation<\/a> website.<\/p>\n<h2>BU Memorabilia, Pictures, and Flowers<\/h2>\n<p>Campus Books, the Brandon University bookstore, will be on site during Convocation with a wide selection of BU memorabilia available for purchase (by cash, cheque, or credit card). Memorabilia can also be ordered online through their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bkstr.com\/brandonustore\/home\">website<\/a> year-round.<\/p>\n<p>Brandon University Alumni will be on site during Convocation with a wide selection of BU degree parchment frames available for purchase. Merchandise can also be purchased directly from their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/alumni\/alumni-merchandise\/\">website<\/a> year-round.<\/p>\n<p>Brandon University has contracted a professional photographer to take photographs of each graduand on stage receiving their degree.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Individual graduand photographs will be available for purchase following the event with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imperialphoto.ca\/bugrad\/\">Imperial Photo<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Photo sessions can also be booked prior to Convocation day with <a href=\"https:\/\/imperialphoto.ca\/book-grad-photos\/\">Imperial Photo <\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Flowers may be purchased through Brandon University\u2019s partner, Convocation Flowers, available on site both days of Convocation.<\/p>\n<h2>Transcripts<\/h2>\n<p>Official transcripts may be ordered through Financial &amp; Registration Services. It is your responsibility to order official transcripts, if needed. If you order transcripts prior to Convocation, please ensure that you ask Financial &amp; Registration Services to mail your transcripts <strong>AFTER<\/strong> Convocation if you need your graduation date on the transcript.
