Newly admitted students to the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, and Physical Education Studies starting courses in September 2026 can book an advising appointment, plan their courses, and register by following the steps below.<\/span><\/p>\n

Academic advising for first-year students is strongly recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students choosing to register on their own without academic advising must also view the New Student Advising Tutorial Videos in Moodle and follow steps 1, 2, and 4 to learn how to plan courses and register.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tStep 1: Claim your student ID and Login to Moodle\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\n\t\t

    1. If you have not already done so, please Claim Your ID<\/a>. Remember\/record your username and password because you will use them to log into important student portals.\u00a0 If you experience difficulties with this process please contact the IT Helpdesk at 204-571-8500 or <\/span>helpdesk@brandonu.ca.<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Open the Brandon University Moodle website<\/a>. (Open this link in a new tab or window so you can continue following these instructions.) Moodle is a learning platform that will allow you to watch videos to learn How To Register<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Login to Moodle using your Brandon University username and password that you claimed. (eg. SMITHTA18<\/em>).<\/li>\n
    4. Click on Student Services in the menu, then the New Student Advising<\/em> link<\/a>.<\/li>\n
    5. Enter the<\/span> enrolment key, which is<\/span> newbustudent<\/span>,<\/em><\/strong> and click Enrol Me<\/em> once you have entered the key.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\n\n\t\t\t\t\t

      <\/strong>Once you are logged into the New Student Advising Moodle Tutorial<\/a>, you must watch the following 5 videos that are available in Moodle (time to completion: ~1 hour).\u00a0 This tutorial is important to review before meeting your academic advisor or planning and registering on your own.\u00a0 Students may be asked to reschedule an advising appointment if they have not prepared or reviewed the video tutorials.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
