We named our farm Buck Valley Ranch. We had twenty years of great adventures raising registered Red Angus cattle.\u00a0 Recently, I semi-retired to live in a condo development in the City of Brandon.\u00a0 My hobbies and interests lie in the following: canoeing, walking, cycling, cross-country skiing, travelling, bird watching, gardening, hummingbird banding, Wheat Kings\u2019 hockey, cat watching, digital photography and precious time spent with my sister and her family. The staff at Valleyview School expressed an interest to have a cohort of student teachers and a faculty supervisor assigned to their school in order to partner with the University to pilot a model for professional development using Sandy as the facilitator and trainer of the Digi-Block program in 5 classrooms.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a8\u00a0 \u201cImplementing SMART Technology into Grade 6 Classrooms\u201d (2006-2008) Five teachers from Brandon School Division, Shannon Gadbois, Brandon University, and Sandy Margetts participated in a three year Crystal Grant project to install SMART Technology in each classroom and to develop science lesson plans to use in each classroom. In addition, several professional development sessions were included in the project.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a8\u00a0 \u201cFirst Steps in Math\u201d (currently).
