Supported by the Margaret Laurence Endowment Fund, the Beyond Gender Annual Lecture showcases a distinguished speaker who offers an intersectional approach to thinking about gender. GWS aims to highlight speakers who are Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled, neurodivergent, and/or those who are precariously employed in the academy and welcomes diverse theoretical and empirical approaches, creative practices, storytelling, dialogues, and activism.
