Biography<\/h2>\n

Karen has practiced as an RPN in acute care psychiatry, in-hospital educator and researcher coordinator, community rehabilitation worker, consultant in a northern Cree community, and assistant professor (Bachelor and Master of Psychiatric Nursing Programs). She retired in July 2020 but continues as an Adjunct Professor and thesis supervisor for MPN graduate students.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Research Interests<\/h2>\n

Karen has concentrated on qualitative research methods (Ethnography, Photovoice, Discourse Analysis, Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, Institutional Ethnography, Narrative Inquiry). Her current research interests revolve around psychiatric nursing philosophy, recovery, and mental health activism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
